The Element San Jose Milpitas hotel is scheduled to open in June 2020.  Sales Manager role will ideally start February 1, 2020 and report directly to the Director of Sales.


  • Conduct outside sales calls, qualifying clients and meeting needs.  Primary focus is proactively selling to local and non-local companies coming to the area.
  • Establish and maintain close contact with top accounts, and target accounts, through appointments, phone calls, tours, correspondence, and business lunches. 
  • Qualify leads and prospects gained from cold calls, sales blitz, and other sources.
  • Work closely with all hotel departments by communicating and coordinating all sales information.
  • Create and execute quarterly action plans (SMART) and bonus goals.
  • Attend and participate in weekly Sales Meetings as well as training seminars and other meetings as requested by management.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with competitor hotels, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
  • Participate in community activities, employee functions and guest events.
  • Attend company meetings as requested by General Manager.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Hospitality Management Degree beneficial
